A PHOTOGRAPH taken by a hunter in Pennsylvania has reignited debate over the existence of Bigfoot.
Rick Jacobs claims to have taken the pictures using a camera hung from a tree with an automatic trigger.
“We couldn’t figure out what they were,” Mr Jacobs said in a report by the Associated Press. “I’ve been hunting for years and I’ve never seen anything like this.”
Bigfoot enthusiasts say it appears to be the real deal but, perhaps predictably because of the quality of the photos, other experts say it looks like a bear “with a severe case of mange”, according to AP.

I gonna lean more towards a bear, than a bigfoot. I’ve been hunting for 10 years and Ive never seen a bear that looked like that, although i have seen bear with mange. If this was a bear it has a severe case of the mange. The main reason Im leaning towards a bears is the because of the animals feet. They seem round and paw shaped. I thought a “Bigfoot” would have primate shaped feet that are extremely large, hence the name “Bigfoot”. It would be very interesting if it was a “Bigfoot” though, because the exsistance of this creature has fasinated me, and I would like to see if they really are out there.
If you ask me it looks like a chimp. People are always getting exotics as pets and turning them loose. Very sad.
I think it is real because a bear doesn’t walk with it’s back in a u shape and it not a chimp because chimp’s keep their heads in an upward position.

I would probably go with it being a chimp (primate) because of its body structure, too thin to be a bear, but could be a big foot on all fours
i could see where some say it looks like a bear, but the proportions are wrong, its legs are longer its abdomen is much thinner, and the way its hunched over like that, cant be. definitely some kind of primate.

The picture on the right the legs are longer than a normal bear and thiner also that in the pictureon the left you can see the leg musels. So that means its not fake.
They are very bad pic’s they could be a number of things but more the one on the right looks like it maybe and thats a big maybe with the poor quality of the photos but maybe a tree sloth on the ground.

That is not Bigfoot. I have seen Bigfoot. I had a close encounter last year in the North Cascade Mountains of Washington State. Near Leavenworth, out at Lake Wanatchee. I grew up with my grandparents and they told me stories all my life about aliens and Bigfoot, being into that craze in the 70’s and 80’s. Until january ‘07, That’s all I thought they were, just stories. I am not a crazy man, but I tell people about my experience and it’s like their brain shuts off and they just laugh and make fun of me. I have no doubt in my mind what I saw was Bigfoot. And those pictures from that PA hunter are crap. And he’s an idiot. Sorry, buddy.

Believe it or not but i have seen something that looked like this, and around here there are no bears!!!!!!! me and my best friend swear it’s a big foot or something like that. Nice pics.

it cant be a bear, sloth, chimp, or a human because the legs throws everything off. if thats a sloth, thats huge. bears dont NORMALLY have those long of legs. chimps dont have those long legs and dont really walk on all fours since they can walk on two. if any of you think its a human, get real. unless its shaq or yao in clothes crawling around on all fours its gotta be something out of the ordinary. even if it was someone as big as those two people, it would still be out of proportion.

This one time, in band camp……ok, once I took a pic of the CN Tower in Toronto. I made it look like the top third of it was snapped off and falling!! Yikes! Looked real. Fooled a few people, who I guess needed to be fooled. Point is….pics are not reality …
hi thats quite an odd picture. it could be a numer of things but look at its legs its like a small furry humanoid on its hands and feet.
i might be a jersy devil, or the rear end of a chupacarbra it can’t be a bigfoot though bigfoots stand on their hind legs then again like i sed before it does look humanoid. or maybe it is a bear that escaped from somewhere or somthing. you never know truth can be stranger than fiction and absence of proof isn’t proof of absence. it could be a new undiscovered breed of somthing or although i dout it maybe a baby moose?
i can honestly say bigfoot is alive and true, because i shot one while deer hunting in misouri, the deer came running onto the food plot, did not seem strange. then he appeared chasing the deer, i shot him three times before he went down. the first hit him on the run, second shot he had slowed to a walk, put the second shot in center mass, first shot hit him in the right upper thigh. he went across the food plot then dropped, when i came upon him about an hour later, he was still breathing frantically, it was the biggest ape looking thing i had ever seen, third shot stopped his suffering, i took pictures with my digital camera, that are goin to make me alot of money some day. i left the body on the farm the coyotes tore it up pretty good , the bones were still there in 07, deer season, i assume some were taken by the coyotes, the skull is so huge, and i know it was a male because he had genitals…have know worrys i will release all of the pics and the bones, when i need the money……
For thoughs arguing that it is a bear, how do you explain the shape if the head? looks more humanoid than bear.
It couldn’t be a bear. Have you ever heard that you should run down a hill to escape a bear. That is because bears have very short legs compared to their body. The leg proportions on this creature are nowhere near like a bears proportions. I think it could be real.
its a bear with the mange which means its hair was eaten away by small fleas under the skin. If you look at the picture to the left the bear is looking into the camera flsh. You can see the pointy ears the round face and the long snout. If you look closely. Its paws are also round. Also the legs look longer because it has less fur. The reason why this bear is so skinny is because mange also effects an animals health often killing the animal after mange takes full effect. The hair on a bear takes up almost half of its body mass. So just try to imagine a bear without fur in your mind it will look like that.

It looks like bigfoot is either drunk or exercising.
The pictures are very poor-quality, and there should be other pictures if it were a motion-capture camera.
It can easily be a bear with mange but bears don’t bend over like that. But because it’s on all fours I suspect that it has to be a bear.
If this thing were standing up on 2 feet then I’d have no problem thinking it’s Bigfoot, but its posture makes me think its being mistaken.

The legs are WAAAAY to long for a bear, and the body is simply to thin also… and unlike your common bear is rear is squarish, instead of rounded…..
Two soloutions:
1. If it is a bear, its a bloody malnourished one.
2. Its actually a bigfoot.

Has ANYONE considered that the picture of the four-legged animal isn’t the same creature as the tall bipedal animal? I think the small quadrepedal creature is a badger or wolverine, depending on where these photos were taken. What I think is more than likely to be the small creature is a small bear. However, the tall bipedal is definitely a Homos Sasquatches. (Bigfoot) Someone tell me if I’m wrong on the scientific name. I live in a bigfoot area, and I’ve studied him for a while, and I’ve seen pictures of definitely real pictures of bigfeet, whose photographers swore were not hoaxes. The pictures I’ve seen that are likely real are very similiar to these photos. The hair looks exactly the same as these pictures. The proportions look correct on these pictures as far as I can see. Longer arms than a human, reaching down to knees, shorter legs than a human, I can’t see the chest, but it’s broader than a human’s. Correct average shoulder
Sorry guys pressed a wrong button. As I was s aying, correct average bigfoot shoulder width, little or no neck, head smaller than a human’s, I would be forced to admit this passes my test. I think it’s real. Of course, I’m a young bigfoot researcher (and by young, I mean it. I’m 11)
LOL Seriously, I’m 11, no joke. So I could be wrong. I live in Coeur ‘D Alene, ID. (It’s a town by Lake Coeur ‘D Alene, it’s kinda big, it’s in the panhandle of Idaho, pop. of about 35,000, about 45 minutes to Sandpoint (Another small town, by Lake Pend Oreille). CDA isn’t bigfoot city, but farther north by Athol and sandpoint it is. Not to say we’ve never had sightings in CDA, There was one in 1996, that I don’t know much about cause I wasn’t born yet, one in 2000, one in 2004, one in 2007, and one recently just north of here in June. Also, to the guy who has the bigfoot pix and bones, don’t wait a second longer!!! Let scientists study those bones and pix! Also, there aren’t any bigfoot skeletons that I know of, a few bones here and there, but skulls, would be great, and any other bones we would be great, but skulls would be fantastic. So, this concludes my very long comment. Whoa, why’d a finish so formally like that? That was weird. Good luck to all you bigfoot researchers out there, and L8R!!!

Scientists have not discovered every thing that “needs” to be discovered. There are lists of new species published every year. This year there were thousands of new species on that list and we’ve had science around for a very long time. It’s estimated that scientists only know roughly 50 % of the species on this earth alone. Go to NatGeo if you don’t believe me, it’s all over that site.

yo, i thought big foot walked on two legs, not crawling, and y is it bending over like tht in the first pic. also the creature in the first pic is definately not the same creature in the right pic. the left pic’s legs are shorter and thinner and the head is bigger. also the body is smaller and the arms are bigger. i dont even kno what the first pic is supposed to be or look like. the right pic does look i bit like b.foot but it’s prolly a guy in a suit or a manequin thing made by some dude to look like b.foot. also the pic in the top right corner of the left pic is for sure a bear. also i wonder wit the technology we got these days, y is the quality of the pics so bad? and if this was taken by a hunter y didnt he shoot it so he can bring the carcass to scientists to FINALLY prove if bigfoot is real or not. i dont really kno wut to think of this. i think its fake.
there are a few possibilities
number one- a bloody huge sloth
number two- a mange-ridden bear with elongated limbs and a serious weight problem
number 3- an ape or some similiar primate ( personally i doubt it since when did apes inhabit pensyllvania?)
number 4- it is actaully bigfoot
in my opinion i think it’s a bear, 2 of the pictures look soo bear-like,
quite frankly i dont give a shit wether big foot is real or not, as long as i dont come within ten feet of that scary lookin thing
30 minutes earlier the same camera took a picture of a bear.
So what is more reasonable:
1) Another bear showed up 30 minutes later
2) Bigfoot showed up (crawling on all fours)

It is clearly a bear with an injured leg. It is the same bear in both pics because in both pics it is outstretching the same leg. I think that the reason people are saying ‘the proportions’ are off (and hence, it cannot be a bear) it because they are being fooled by the black and white photo. In the pic on the right it LOOKS as if it’s outstretching its left leg, but it’s really the right. When looking at it this way, we can see that the proportions are indeed correct and that the left leg is thick enough to be that of a bear. It was probably hit by a car or smth or injured some other way and has a ‘dead’ leg, which would explain why the leg was skinner…. unused muscle shrinks, and this would account for the emaciated state of the bear.

It’s a gangly undernourished black bear without a doubt.
Okay, I have lived in PA for all of my life and I hunted for as long as I can remember! What has been said is true:
1) The form of the creature is far off from any bear’s physique
Now something that needs to be clarified for the people who have devoted time to speaking thier minds about these pictures:
2) The hunter himself did not take the picture… As I understand it the picture was taken by an automated “Trail-Cam” of some sorts (hunters use them all of the time to gain better knowledge of the whereabouts of the game that they are hunting/trapping); hence the low quality state of the pictures
3) The picture in the right corner of the left-hand side picture is obviously a reference picture to allow anybody who does not have a clear knowledge of what a typical Pennsylvanian Black Bear looks like
4) Look at the size of the figure in comparison to the trunk of that large (what appears to be) white oak tree. The, what we will call an “animal” for now, is HUGE… it is almost without question that this is much larger than an average sized (and even abnormally sized) human being
5) If “Bigfoot” is supposed to be human-like but, at the same time, primate-like… Why is it so hard to believe that it would be walking on all-four (through use of his knuckled hands none-the-less)? Maybe every picture of the “Bigfoot Creature” could have been of the animal walking in it’s upright position. If you look at the living patterns of a primate you will see that those types of animals have the ability to choose when they wish to walk on two legs as opposed to four.
The truth of the matter is somebody earlier said about using logic to figure out what the “animal” in question really is.
Having the lack of information we have of the “Bigfoot” creature, is it not possible that this creature (although normally spotted in the northwestern-most regions) could actually be a real specimen that has the brain capacity equal to (or at least comparably close to) that of a humans? With that being said, it is forced to live in the wild because it know that it would be unaccepted by it’s “relative”, humans, and with it’s inate ability to use it’s primal abilities to blend in to it’s surroundings (like all animals in the wild) has avoided any “really large” confrontations with the beast that would undoubtedly attempt to capture, kill, and test every last one of thier species?
I’m not sure of what the “animal” is or could be… but I do know that I have spent some time thinking about these things after I myself (think I SAY THINK) I saw one myself. These are the conclusions that I have came to. Use them in whatever way you like and please if you have something to say speak you mind on these forums or feel free to e-mail me and I will try to explain anything that you feel is unreasonable or that I have left less than clear.

look at the animal closely, everything from bone structure to how it stands to how how it looks would lead me to believe that it is what one would call a “bigfoot”. look the pic of the bear and look at the “bigfoot” they look nothing alike……so this is either a very odd misshapen bear or…..its what people have come to call a “big foot”.
Chris: Yes, you are correct to say that everything about the “animal” is uncharacteristic of a bear; and I completely agree. but, how exactly do you propose an answer to the other statements made earlier in this segment? Why, if it is out there, has it been able to avoid major contact with us? Why is it that the “animal’s” structure could look like that even it were a mishapened bear? This is a bear. Yes, Yes,yes, it is a bear. Bears that have an abundant loss of hair look this way. Goodness, i am amazed how easy people fall for this being bigfoot. Gimme a break! You can reason this out all you want to, and i guess if you want it to be bigfoot, its going to be bigfoot. So just allow your imagination to run wild, but its not bigfoot. Its a stealth Cam, which takes the crappiest photos in the world. They are just to help a hunter determine a nice buck. Once again this is not bigfoot. Its a bear, but believe what you want. I am more amazed how you can ride people for weeks with these photos and have an animal prying at something on the ground can just send us off. Give it a break and move on to the next thing. I don`t give these photos a second glance. I`ve seen them and to me it was a bear the moment i saw them. See ya.
