His family gave approval for his organs to be removed for donation.

But, as family members were paying their last respects, they were shocked to see him move his foot and hand, the Daily Mail reported today.

After 48 days in hospital, he was allowed to return home.

He and his family appeared on on NBC’s Today morning show overnight.

“I feel pretty good. but it’s just hard … just ain’t got the patience,” Mr Dunlap said.

Mr Dunlap said he had no recollection of the crash.

“I remember a little bit that was about an hour before the accident happened. But then about six hours before that, I remember,” he said.

But Mr Dunlap said he did remember hearing doctors pronounce him dead.

“I’m glad I couldn’t get up and do what I wanted to do,” he said.

His father, Doug, said he saw the results of the brain scan. “There was no activity at all, no blood flow at all.”

Zach’s mother, Pam, said that when she discovered he was still alive, “That was the most miraculous feeling.”

She said her son was doing “amazingly well,” but still had problems with his memory.

A British lottery winner has gone back to his old job serving burgers at McDonald’s.

Luke Pittard, 25, shared a $3 million jackpot with his girlfriend 18 months ago.

After taking a break Pittard, who has since married his partner, has decided to go back to his old job part-time, where he earns just $200 for 15 hours’ work a week.

Pittard, dubbed the McMillionaire, said: “I loved my work at McDonald’s before I won the money, and I’m really enjoying being back there again.

“There are so many familiar faces that it was like coming back to a group of old friends.

“To be honest, there’s only so much relaxing you can do. I’m only young and a bit of hard work never did anyone any harm.”

A Gun belonging to the pilot of a US Airways plane discharged as the aircraft made its approach to land in the US state of North Carolina. The “accidental discharge” on Easter Saturday aboard the flight to Denver, Colorado, was not a danger to the aircraft or the 124 passengers, two pilots and three flight attendants aboard, according to Greg Alter of the Federal Air Marshal Service.

It was the first time that a weapon issued under the US post-September 11 program to arm pilots was fired, authorities said. The program allows pilots to use a firearm to defend against any acts of air piracy or criminal violence.

“We know that there was never any danger to the aircraft or to the occupants on board,” Mr Alter said.

The Transportation Security Administration is investigating how the gun discharged and is being assisted by the Air Marshal Service.

Federal Aviation Administration spokesman Mike Fergus said his agency is also investigating to make sure that the plane is safe. The aircraft has been removed from service, according to US Airways.

First picture of son leaves mum horrified

Sandra Gendron, babySandra Gendron handed the anaesthetist attending her a camera before she went under the knife to deliver her first baby and asked him to record the birth.

The first photograph of little Daniel Gendron was not at all what she had expected.

“I was so upset,” she said yesterday.

“One leg is dangling and one leg is taking his whole body weight. The doctor is just holding his hand under Daniel’s head and there is no support to his back.

“It’s not a really nice photo. He’s not holding my baby gently.”

The doctor was Graeme Reeves.

Five years later the doctor would be secretly banned by a Medical Board committee from working as an obstetrician after the death of one baby, the death of a patient and for endangering the life of another patient.

In the latest horror story told by a patient of the rogue doctor, dubbed the Butcher of Bega, Ms Gendron said when she awoke from the caesarean in Baulkham Hills Private Hospital, she discovered Reeves had cut her from her navel down, instead of beneath her bikini line.

“Believe me, when I woke up from the anaesthetic, I went through hell,” Ms Gendron said.

She went back to Reeves at his Castle Hill rooms in 1997 when pregnant with her second son, Laurence.

It was not until two weeks before the birth - two months after he was banned by the Medical Board’s professional standards committee from obstetrics - that Reeves told her he could not deliver the baby.
