It was a ’stick-up’ of a different kind for an Australian man who broke into a house and entertained himself sexually for hours in the bathroom with some bazaar sex aids. A Brisbane court was told that 27 yr old Jamie Lacey, high on drugs, broke into the house in September 2004. While in the house he scattered pornography magazines around the bathroom and made himself a sex toy in a fashion even Mcguyver would be impressed by. The parts included a bottle of detergent, a rubber glove, a piece of wood and a vacuum cleaner (use your imagination.)
Lacey was only recently arrested after police matched his DNA to that found on the rubber glove.
Lacey initially denied that the vacuum cleaner had been used in a sexual act, but Judge Tony Rafter quickly dismissed this submission, stating, “I’m sure that your client didn’t break in and vacuum the carpets.”
After being found guilty, Lacey was sentenced to 12 months community service. Judge Rafter declined to send Lacey to prison due to the fact that he had recently become a father and had held a steady job for the past two years.

A seventy year old British lady sentenced to a 20 year minimum jail term on Wednesday after being found guilty of murdering her son’s wife, who she claimed brought shame upon her Sikh family by filing for divorce.Bachan Athwal cried openly as the sentence was handed down at London’s Old Bailey court for the “honor killing” of Surjit Kaur Athwal, 27, who was killed after being lured out of the country to India.
The court was told the 70 year old pensioner vowed that the divorce would happen “over my dead body” because she beleived it would disgrace her family. The woman’s son Sukhdave Singh Athwal, 43, was also found guilty of murder, he was sentenced to a minimum 27 years in jail.
“This was a heinous crime characterized by great wickedness,” said Judge Giles Forrester. He told the defendant, “There was no motive worthy of the name. You did it because you thought she had brought shame on your family.”
The mother and son killed Athwal, who was reported missing in December 1998 after she walked out of her arranged marriage. It is reported she was lured to India by her mother-in-law and her husband on the pretext of attending family weddings. She was instead strangled to death.
The alarm was raised after Athwal, a customs officer, failed to return to her home. Her body has never been found.
